Applications are invited for Karnataka State Eligibility Test ( KSET) Recruitment 2014 for Lecturer / Assistant professorship – 2014 to be conducted on November 30, 2014.

Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2014 Candidates who have secured at least 55% of marks (without rounding off) for general category and 50% for Schedule Category (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons With Disability (PWD-VH/PH), Category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB candidates, in master’s degree OR equivalent examination from universities / institutions recognized by UGC New Delhi, in subjects like Science, Humanities (including languages), Social science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic science etc., are eligible to appear for this test.

Location of the Job :- Karnataka

Scheme of examination :- The test will be consisting of three papers. The test for all the three papers will consist of only Multiple-choice Questions (MCQ). The test will be held on 30th November 2014 in two separate sessions as mentioned below:

Session Paper Marks Number of Question Duration
First I 100 60 out of which 50 questions to be attempted 1 ¼ Hours (09.30 A.M to 10.45 A.M)
II 100 50 questions all are compulsory 1 ¼ Hours (10.45 A.M to 12.00 Noon)
Second III 150 75 questions all are compulsory 2 ½ Hours (01.30 P.M to 04.00 P.M)

Application Fee :-
1. General Rs. 1000/-
2. Cat-IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB Rs. 800/-
3. Cat-I, SC, ST, PWD(VH/PH) Rs. 500/-

Late fee of Rs.100/- has to be paid by candidates who submit online application after the last date till the extended period.

Note: Candidates belonging to category IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, Cat-I, SC, ST, PWD (VH/PH) who claim fee exemption must enclose attested Category certificate issued by competent authority along with the hard copy of the application.

Mode of payment :- The examination fee / late fee have to be paid through bank challan only. After registration for online application candidates can take the printout of challan (Bank Copy, KSET Copy & candidates copy) and make the payment as detailed in the challan (i.e. Exam. Fee + bank commission of Rs.20/-) in any of the SBM branches, KSET copy of the challan has to be submitted along with the hard copy of the application form to respective Nodal center.

Syllabus :- Syllabus for KSET examination will be the same as in UGC/CSIR – NET. Syllabi for all the KSET subjects can be downloaded from the KSET website http://kset.uni – mysore.ac.in . The KSET center, Mysore will not send the syllabus to the candidates individually .
